BPD Study

Share your experiences

We’re inviting young people to take part in a research study about experiences of compassion, stigma, and social challenges in those with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD), or Personality Disorder with Borderline Pattern.

This study has been shaped by young people with lived experience, and we would love for you to be involved.

Who can take part?

You can take part if:

  • You are aged 18–25

  • You have a diagnosis (including working or differential diagnosis) of BPD, EUPD, or PD with Borderline Pattern

  • You are confident in spoken and written English

What’s involved?

You would be asked to complete a questionnaire about your experiences of compassion, stigma, and challenging social situations.

Please read the Participant Information Sheet first.
When you’re ready, press ‘Take Part’ above to begin.

If you’d prefer to take part by email or post, or if you have any difficulty accessing the questionnaire, you can email Catrin on ces389@bham.ac.uk and we’ll be happy to help.

Why take part?

  • Share your experiences to help researchers understand the challenges young people with BPD face

  • Help shape healthcare and support services

  • Contribute to reducing stigma and promoting compassion

  • Enter a prize draw to win a £25 Amazon voucher for completing the questionnaire
